COLUMN: Kash’s ‘Something/Different’ coming to the Donalda Museum

This week’s Donalda Diary highlights the summer events in Donalda

Kash’s exhibit ‘Something/Different’ will run from July 19 to Aug. 9. There will also be an Art Opening Friday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Donalda Art Gallery.

As the name suggest this exhibit features something different, with artworks ranging in mediums from watercolour, to oil, to acrylic, to mixed media, and photography. The Art Gallery will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exhibiting artist in on most days.

The Donalda and District Museum will be having a Ham and Perogie Dinner on Thursday, July 20 at the Drop In Centre from 5:30 to 7 p.m. the Menu consists of honey ham, mashed potatoes, carrots, corn, perogies, fried cabbage, salad, as well as dessert. For more information please call 403-883-2100.

The next Red Lamp Market will be held on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine, located next to the World’s Largest Lamp. Vendors must pre-book with Amanda at 403-741-6095.

The Donalda Coulee Friendship club will be closed on Saturdays for the months of July and August. The next Pancake Breakfast will be held on September 10th at the Drop In.

Battle River Rural Crime Watch is up and running for the Village of Donalda under new members. If interested in becoming a member contact Paul McKay at 403-883-2438. Monthly meetings will be announced soon.
