DONALDA DIARY: Donalda Ag Society meeting coming up

Along with the Donalda Ag Society meeting are a variety of events this summer

The Agricultural Society will be holding their next meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Donalda Art Gallery is currently featuring Kash’s art exhibit ‘Something/Different’ which will run until Sunday, August 13th. The Art Gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exhibiting artist in on most days.

The next Red Lamp Market will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an outdoor, open market promoting all types of vendors, located next to the World’s Largest Lamp. Please contact Amanda at 403-741-6095 for more information or check them out on Facebook.

Museum Day! This will be taking place on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be free admission into the Museum, as well as ice cream cones, floats, popcorn, and mini-games. This is the perfect day to bring the whole family to see over 1000 lamps, and other local artifacts. Donalda Promotions will be holding their next Drive In Movie on Friday, Aug. 25, featuring the movie Pixels. The movie will begin at dusk or roughly 9:30 p.m. at Willow Canyon. There will also be full concession. Gates and concession open at 7 p.m. Come and explore the badlands before the movie.

The Donalda Library is searching for a copy of the movie Heart of the Sun, a part of this film was filmed in Donalda and they are looking for a copy. If you have or know someone who does, please call the Donalda Library at 403-883-2345. Thank you! Also, the Donalda Library will be closed Aug. 7 to 9 and will re-open again on Monday, Aug. 14.
