Byemoor School, little but mighty, raised $685 at its Hot Dog sale on Monday for Red Cross Wildfire Relief.
Once the government’s pledge to match donations times three is added, the amount will be $2,055. A very impressive amount raised by amazing students and a very supportive community.
The school wishes to thank all those who came out to support the students, Suzanne Sorensen and Maureen Mappin-Smith for organizing and cooking, Jordanna Bosma for baking muffins with the student groups and Les and Rosemary Stulberg for donating the hot dogs and supplies.
Volunteers with the Endiang Community Society worked at the Cash Casino in Red Deer on June 2 and 3. Casino funds will be used to operate the Endiang Hall.
Mark your calendars for the Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast on Sun, June 18 at the Endiang Community Hall. Breakfast runs from 9 – 11 a.m. Be sure to treat Dad on his special day.
Debbie Grams, along with her daughter Erin, her sister Cathy and niece Ryleigh have an enjoyable vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Their time was packed with tours and sightseeing adventures. Cathy (nee Kelly) celebrated her 65th Birthday in Mexico.
Many rodeo fans attended the annual Hand Hills Stampede which ran June 2 – 4. Although the weather was good for the stampede, farmers were probably hoping it would rain.
Senior’s Week is being recognized from June 5 – 9. Let’s celebrate our seniors and recognize them for their many contributions.
