Some monstrous fun is on its way to Stettler!

After a positive first run in Bashaw, the Bashaw Community Theatre Group is bringing its youth production of The Big One-Oh!, written by Dean Pitchford, to the Stettler Performing Arts Centre for a limited run beginning Oct. 27.

According to Rhonda Sylvester, the musical coordinator for the production, the musical comedy is being hosted in both communities as a large number of the cast come from Stettler.

“Because several of the youth cast come from Stettler, the decision was made for both last year’s Moana show and this year’s Big One-Oh! show, that the performances would be brought to both towns to showcase and support our amazing performers and engage in our communities,” said Sylvester.

The cast and crew have been working on bringing this production together since April, and 28 youths split between Stettler and Bashaw are taking part.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Oct. 27-28, and 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 with tickets available online or at the Performing Arts Centre door.
