Bashaw School’s junior high students hosted the community for a production of Frozen Jr. from Jan. 19-21.

Produced under licence from Music Theatre International, the production is a live version of the hit Disney movie, featuring many of the songs from the movie including the hit “Let it Go.”

According to director Lori Miller, the production was cast in early October, with blocking and choreography done by Christmas.

“What I love is the kids find value in themselves and each other,” said Miller.

Miller says that the students took ownership of the production, with some even doing their own choreography.

“They were able to create in every aspect,” said Miller, “while honouring the story and honouring the play.”

The production ran at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 and 20, and 2 p.m. on Jan. 21.

Around 60 people attended the first performance, which started right at 7 p.m. and lasted a little over an hour.
