After being on hiatus since 2019, the Majestic Theatre Players are opening a new show.

Directed by Amanda Besuijen, the players open Mike ‘Hard As’ Nails, written by Angela Tuxbury, on Nov. 24.

The play follows the titular down-and-out private detective as he solves a trio of morally ambiguous, and often hilarious, cases.

A detective with his own moral code, the outcomes are often not what one would expect!

In between the three acts, attendees will be treated to the horn-playing of well-known area resident Rene Janisse.

Larry Walton will serve as emcee and narrator for the production.

While there is no meal, the Friends of the Majestic Theatre will be serving up some “delectable bites” during the intermissions, and the bar will be open.

The show will run Nov. 24-26, skip a week, then run Dec. 8-10, with all proceeds from the Dec. 9 show going to the Mirror Museum.

To get tickets for the show, and support local theatre, contact Val Wandler at 403-358-8575.
