The Heartland Arts Troupe Society (HATS) is about to kick off its fall 2023 production for a limited run.

Beginning Nov. 8, HATS will present The Hallelujah Girls for four shows, concluding its run on Nov. 11.

The already sold-out show is being directed by first-time director Andrea Muhlbach.

“This year has been unbelievable,” said Muhlbach.

“It’s so cool.”

Muhlbach says that she decided to take a turn as director in order for her to get another individual, and long-time director, onto the stage.

Unfortunately, while the individual was not able to be part of the production this year, Muhlbach says that she has still “found a great cast” comprised of six women and two men.

According to Muhlbach, the audience can expect a tug at the heartstrings, with laughter, tears, and singing throughout the two-act, six-scene play.

The evening will be “a wonderful night out” in a “wonderful atmosphere” in a dinner-theatre setting, according to Muhlbach.

Muhlbach has been with HATS for over a decade, but this is her first time trying her hand in the director’s chair. According to Muhlbach, the cast will have only practiced a dozen times before the curtain opens on Nov. 8.
