New Norway man charged with impaired driving

RCMP follow trail of damage, find pick-up north of Wetaskiwin

On February 23, 2018 Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to assist with Wetaskiwin Integrated Traffic Unit as they attempted to stop a dark blue Ford F-150 being driven erratically.

The vehicle had driven through out the City of Wetaskiwin prior to being observed and struck numerous objects, including a fire hydrant, a parked vehicle, and several other items.

Following extensive patrols the vehicle was stopped on Hwy 2A North of Wetaskiwin. The vehicle was found to have extensive damage.

Jordyne BRATTLAND (20), of New Norway, Alberta faces six charges:

Impaired Driving

Fail to provide breath sample

Dangerous driving

Fail to remain at scene of collision X 2

Flight from police

BRATTLAND was taking before a Justice of the Peace and released to appear on Feb 27, 2018 in Wetaskiwin Court.

The RCMP would like to assist the numerous witnesses that came forward to assist with the investigation.
