After serving a year in the big chair for the Battle River School Division (BRSD), the trustee responsible for Bashaw is returning to his regular trustee position.
Camrose County South trustee Kendall Severson has stepped aside as the chair of the board of trustees and the former vice-chair Norm Erickson was selected to fill the post at the division’s organizational meeting held earlier this month.
Erickson, who is one of two trustees that represent the City of Camrose, will assume the board chair role beginning with the BRSD’s first meeting on Sept. 27.
The vice-chair position will now be taken by first time trustee Karen Belich, who was elected last year to represent Camrose County North.
In taking over the role, on behalf of the rest of the board, Erickson expressed his thanks to Severson for his work and dedication during the previous school year.
