Donalda Library’s father’s day event was a success

The Donalda Library held a very successful father’s Day craft event with a number of children making unique gifts for their father’s.

The Donalda Art Gallery is now featuring the Canada 150: Period Costumes exhibit until July 12th. The Donalda Art Gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and check out the exhibit that features local costumes from years gone by.

The next Red Lamp Market will be held on July 1st, promoting all types of vendors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain or Shine! Vendors must pre-book with Amanda at 403-741-6095.

July 1st, 2017 Donalda Canada Day Celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to Midnight. Brunch at the Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pie & Coffee at the Drop In from Noon to 4 p.m. Period Costume Exhibit at the Art Gallery from Noon to 4 p.m. Hotdogs, Pop, Floats & Ice Cream at the Big Lamp from Noon to 4 p.m. Children’s games beside the Library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bounce House at the Big Lamp starting at 1 p.m. Red Lamp Market will be on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parade begins at 4 p.m. There will also be a Roast Beef Dinner by Mad Catering at the Drop in from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Live auction on the stage by the Big Lamp at 7 p.m. Also, live band “Retired Night Riders” will be on stage by the Big Lamp from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. with the fireworks starting at 11:30 p.m. Be sure to come out and enjoy all that Donalda has to offer this Canada Day!
