On Sept. 14, the Bashaw Multi 4-H Club concluded its year by having an Achievement Day for its projects.

The woodworking project group held its achievement day at Bashaw Meadows. This group is led by Peter Brosinsky and had six woodworking members ranging in age from six to 16 years old.

Wood projects made over the year included a wood crate for storage, wood stool, wood game, wood reindeer, wood Christmas tree, outside wood Christmas tree, wood sign with their name and a fun little trick wood “coin bank”.

Each of the members showed and explained their wood projects to the residents at Bashaw Meadows. It was a wonderful interactive session with demonstrations of lighting up the wood Christmas tree, standing on the wood stools, dropping coins into the wood “coin bank” and touching the wood projects.

This was Jayden de Jonge’s second display of his products as he showcased and explained them at the Bashaw School Elementary Talent Show in June.

Congratulations to David Smith, Catharina Brosinsky, Danny Healing, Ben Morrison, Jayden de Jonge and Nya Domstad on their creativity, craftsmanship, communications and safety in the shop techniques.

Peter will be leading the 4-H woodworking group again starting in October and can be contacted at 780-372-2426.
