Family, friends, staff and the community of Bashaw came out to support the Bashaw Meadows Spring Tea.
The event was held May 5th at Bashaw Meadows. The fundraiser raises funds that are necessary for the operation of the recreational programming at the seniors facility. All the proceeds from the tea supports the continuation of leisure and recreational programming at the facility for the residents.
“Getting the folks involved empowers them and promotes a healthy lifestyle. It’s simply wonderful to see the residents interact and create a number craft items. Over the winter months, residents were busy making outdoor décor items for the silent auction, ” says Iris Buchaski, the facility’s activity coordinator.
“They thoroughly enjoyed making the bird houses, stepping stones and table centres for the event.”
