Huge Flush - Hundreds of litres were streaming out of the fire hydrants in Bashaw Sept. 19 as public works crews performed the twice annual flushing of the municipalities water lines. Each fire hydrant in town is opened for a couple of minutes to help in removing sediment and refresh the water in the lines. The work also ‘flushed’ away cash from the town coffers as the town must expense the water used since Bashaw is now part of the regional water system. Photo by Jordie Dwyer
