Construction to reduce access to Big Valley

Bridge construction should last approximately a month

The Village of Big Valley will have reduced access for nearly a month due to road work on one of the municipality’s main access roads.

Urban Approach Road 55, which connects the east end of the village to Highway 56 via Range Road 20-1 will be closed from Aug. 21 to around Sept. 18 to allow for a bridge replacement.

Traffic needing to access the village is recommended to enter the community from the south access off of Highway 590 or, alternatively, by using Township Road 36-0 west to Range Road 20-1, then following that road into town.

For more information on the closure, contact the County of Stettler communications director, Niki Thorsteinsson at nthorsteinsson@stettlercounty.ca, or the County of Stettler engineering manager, Brad Plehnert, at bplehnert@stettlercounty.ca.

Both contacts can also be reached by calling the County of Stettler administrative office at 403-741-4441.
