As of May 2, the Town of Bashaw is under a fire restriction.

Previously, the town had issued a complete fire ban on April 23, but downgraded the alert due to the recent weather.

A fire restriction prohibits the use of wood campfires on public land but does allow wood campfires inside provincial campgrounds and private property.

Fire Season is in effect from April 1 to October 31 every year.
