Bashaw’s MLA announced his endorsement of Jason Kenney for leader of the United Conservative Party.
The announcement came Sept. 25 from Kenney who was pleased with the announcement, which now brings him 10 endorsements from both the former Wildrose and PC Party MLAs states the release. It adds that Kenney is the only one to have endorsements from both legacy parties.
“I am incredibly grateful to receive Wes’s support,” stated Kenney. “He has a long history of public service and has always shown great dedication to his constituents.”
“As a former teacher, Wes will be able to provide valuable advice on how to reverse the NDP’s ideologically-driven curriculum changes.”
Taylor added he feels Kenney is the best candidate to defeat the NDP in the 2019 provincial election.
“(He) has the experience and ability to immediately begin work on getting Alberta back on track,” said Taylor.
“With his experience going against Justin Trudeau in Ottawa and history of fighting for lower taxes and greater fiscal responsibility Jason will be able to restore the Alberta Advantage.”
