The Bashaw and District Chamber of Commerce (BDCC) held their monthly meeting on Oct. 12, discussing Small Business Week, fall events and upcoming Christmas plans.
BDCC held a poster contest from Oct. 17 to 21 in conjunction of Small Business Week, asking school-aged children to submit their artwork showing what they love about Bashaw. Winners will be announced on the chamber’s Facebook page.
Bashaw Bucks will be started Nov. 12 and run until Dec. 16. Planning is on track for that popular shop local initiation and more details are to follow.
The chamber is looking to combine the Christmas parade and Santa Day with other events. More information will come at their next meeting.
Their next meeting will be on Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at the Meeting Place Coffee Roasters.
