In her update on Dec. 28, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw stated that although numbers declined over the holidays, that is due to a pause in testing.

“Cases continue to decline, in part, due to less people presenting for testing over the past several days, which is not surprising due to the holidays,” said Hinshaw.

”Our positivity rate over the past few days has ranged from 6.4 per cent to 9.6 per cent. The trend in those needing hospital and ICU has not come down. There are 878 people in hospital, including 148 in ICU.”

Camrose County

As of the end-of-day on Dec. 27 when the alberta.ca geospatial map was last updated, there were 18 active cases in Camrose County and 61 active cases in the City of Camrose.
