Camrose getting new high school

School opening in Camrose in 2025

A new Catholic high school is expected to be completed in Camrose by 2025.

The new school, part of Elk Island Catholic Schools, will be for Grades 9 to 12 and will accomodate 410 students, with room for expansion to 610 students.

Construction is anticipated to begin either later this year or early 2023.

Premier Jason Kennery attended the sod-turning earlier this year, along with Camrose MLA Jackie Lovely.

Elk Island Catholic School Board is holding a naming contest for the school.

“I look forward to hearing their selection,” said Lovely.
