On Jan. 29, members of the Camrose Police Service Major Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant on a location within Camrose known to be occupied by individuals who were actively engaged in the sale of illegal drugs.

Shawnna Julia Pelletier, 36, of Camrose and Taryl Justin Desjarlais, 31, of Camrose were placed under arrest and transported to the Camrose Police Service. Upon a search of Pelletier it was found that she was in possession of 23 grams of methamphetamine and eight grams of cocaine.

A search of the residence located a total of 60 ml of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), $170 in cash, and 3.5 grams of methamphetamine along with other items which provided evidence of the trafficking of narcotics.

Further to this, Pelletier was charged with trafficking a controlled substance in relation to a separate Camrose Police Service Major Crimes Investigation where she was involved in the sale of methamphetamine on June 8.
