Clearview Public Schools has announced that there will be someone new leading Donalda School in the 2023-24 school year.

The Stettler-based school division announced via a media release on March 17 that long-time teacher Julie Siemens has been appointed to the position at the end of the current school year.

Siemens “was born and raised on a farm outside Donalda” and moved back to the community where she was raised eight years ago when her husband Mark became principal of the school.

Returning to full time teaching three years ago, Siemens spent over a decade as a basketball coach and substitute teacher within the Clearview School Division.

“We are very happy to have Julie Siemens take on the role of principal at Donalda School,” said Scott Leys, Clearview’s superintendent via the media release.

“Julie has strong connections with the Donalda Community and a passion for the students, staff and parents of the area. She has been part of the leadership in the school and is dedicated to programming, coaching and inclusion. We look forward to working with Julie to ensure continuing success for Donalda students and the community!”

Siemens is looking forward to the opportunity to serve as Donalda Schools principal.

“It has been wonderful to reconnect with childhood friends and build new relationships over the past eight years,”said Siemens.

“I am honored to have been entrusted with the responsibility of the Donalda School principalship. I look forward to working alongside the exceptional staff, parents and community to build up the lives of our young people.”
