Consort RCMP arrest two Stettler men after a suspicious vehicle complaint

They are scheduled to appear in Coronation Provincial Court

Consort RCMP have arrested two men for drug and weapon offences following the report of a suspicious vehicle.

On March 14th, at 1:06 p.m., Consort RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the back alley on 52nd St. in Consort.

Police located the vehicle and upon further investigation the vehicle was searched and the driver and passenger were arrested. Inside the vehicle police located a loaded revolver, drug paraphernalia and what is believed to be methamphetamine.

A 29-year-old man from Stettler has been charged with trafficking an illegal substance, possession of a prohibited weapon, possess break in instrument and three counts of fail to comply.

A 49-year-old man from Stettler has also been charged with trafficking an illegal substance, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possess break in instrument.

Both men have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Coronation Provincial Court on May 14th.
