Change is afoot in Donalda.
Following the previous resignations of two councillors in February and the recall petition of Mayor Douglas Booker which was circulating, the village has to head into a by-election.

According to Justin Brattinga, senior press secretary for the ministry of treasury board and finance, Booker resigned before the recall submission was formally submitted to Municipal Affairs.
Ric McIver, the minister of Municipal Affairs, has appointed Myron Thompson to act as the village’s official administrator until a by-election can be held and quorum restored.
A by-election for all three vacant council seats has been set for May 22.
