A variety of vehicles of all makes and models descended on the East-Central Alberta village of Donalda on Aug. 6.

The vehicles were in town as part of a full day of activities in the village, which included the Donalda Coulee Show and Shine, an outdoor farmer’s market and more.

For the show and shine, 63 vehicles took part ranging from a 1930’s John Deere tractor to motorbikes to a host of different vintage cars and trucks spanning the decades.

The participants in the show and shine were competing for trophies in both the “competitors choice” class and the “people’s choice” class. Competitors choice winners were first, Kevin Staal of Camrose with his 1954 GMC half-ton, and second, Doug Hoyme with his 1960 Chevrolet Impala. The peoples choice winners were first, Les Hastey of Edmonton with his 1955 Chevrolet Belair, and second, Mel Andres of Donalda with his 1948 Style Master Coupe.

In addition to the car show, the Donalda Gallery and Museum were also open for spectators to check out.
