RCMP in Rimbey have been investigating the theft of copper wire that took place on July 8 and are hoping someone can assist them in identifying a man that may be involved.

The theft took place in the early morning hours at a remote oil lease site and a photo of the suspect was taken by security cameras.

The unknown man entered the site and allegedly cut a ground wire that ran throughout the site. In addition, copper wire that was on a spool was also stolen.

If anyone has information about the identity of this man, they are asked to contact the Rimbey RCMP at (403) 843-2224 or any local police detachment.

If a person wants to remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or via the world wide web www.tipsubmit.com.
