Local hits home run with 2019 high seller at Top Gun Horse Sales’ sale April 13

High seller goes for $32,000

The high seller of Top Gun Horse Sales’ sale on Saturday, April 13 was local Keely Bonnett’s horse lot No. 76 Black Spiced Rum, going for a whopping $32,000.

The 2014 registered AQHA buckskin gelding “Lambo” was described as a big, stout quiet and gentle horse.

He scored well at the Fall Classic Rope Horse Futurity as a four-year-old in the heading and has been to a lot of jackpots.

Lambo was sold to a buyer from Wyoming, according to Jordan Dodds, who owns and operates Top Gun Horse Sales with his wife, Robyn.

Dodds says it was a great sale, with buyers coming from California, Oklahoma, Nova Scotia, Vancouver Island, and “all points in between,” he said.
