Ponoka Community Growing Project harvest this Friday

The Ponoka Community Growing Project, which has been contributing towards global food security for the past two decades, will be holding their annual harvest on Sept. 17, weather permitting.

The Ponoka Community Growing Project, which has been contributing towards global food security for the past two decades, will be holding their annual harvest on Sept. 17, weather permitting.

This year marks the project’s 23rd harvest.

The field is located six miles north of the Ponoka Secondary Campus on Range Road 254.

Lunch will be provided to volunteers, starting at 1 p.m., followed by combining the 155 acres of barley. Everyone is welcome.

All proceeds go toward Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
