Drivers around Bashaw will want to avoid Highway 21 on Sept. 27; the railway crossing just south of town will be getting some remediation work.
The Town of Bashaw posted to its social media channels on Sept. 20 that the railway crossing will be closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and that a detour will be in place.
A map showing the detour indicates that those heading southbound on Highway 21 will need to turn onto Highway 599 eastbound to Range Road 213. At Range Road 213, drivers will turn right, heading south until they reach Township Road 414. At Township Road 414, drivers will turn right again, and follow the road until it curves and turns into Range Road 214.
Finally, drivers will turn left onto Range Road 415 and follow it until it reconnects with Highway 21.
