On Jan. 12, Premier Danielle Smith visited Camrose at the request of MLA Jackie Lovely. They visited the Encana Arena where the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling event was taking place.

The organizing committee, some volunteers and attendees had the opportunity to speak with the Premier. The event was made possible by a provincial grant. Athletes attended from around the world and fans gathered in Camrose filling hotels, restaurants, and shops.

Two independent seniors buildings were also visited by Lovely and the premier. Residents were greeted and provided time to ask questions most of which revolved around affordability and the upcoming election.

Premier Smith posed for pictures and provided information about the Alberta Sovereignty Within a United Canada Act.

The Camrose UCP board held a party fundraiser at the CRE to fund the upcoming provincial election for both the local Camrose UCP Constituency Association and the UCP Party. Attendees were present from all areas of the constituency.

“Premier Danielle Smith is committed to the success of the Camrose region, and she made that clear on her recent visit,” said Lovely in a press release.
