Homeowners in the Stettler region wanting to update their home or property in 2023 need to circle the first weekend in February on their calendars.

The Stettler Regional Board of Trade (BOT) will be holding the first of two new projects on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4 at the Agriplex.

According to BOT executive director Byron Geddes, the Stettler Home Show came about from feedback from a number of area contractors who were already working and thus unable to attend the larger trade show in April. The February date takes advantage of their usual slow time, and allows them to participate in the show.

“It’s a one-stop shop for renovation and yard-work,” said Geddes.

In addition to local contractors, landscapers and mortgage specialists will also be on hand to lend their expertise.

“It’s a good time for (the businesses) to throw out their shingle and introduce themselves to the community,” said Geddes.

For the first Stettler Home Show, Geddes says that the BOT is aiming for 40 booths made up of the various Stettler and area businesses.

“At the end of the day, it’s an opportunity for the businesses to introduce people to the different services offered in the community,” said Geddes.

“The response has been really good from the contractors.”

Geddes did note that the BOT’s big push for the month of January will be securing more vendors for the show.

Any contractors, landscapers, or other home-improvement type businesses wishing to participate can find more information at www.stettlerboardoftrade.com.
