Cathy passed away peacefully in Ponoka Horizons where she was a patient for the past few months. She was stricken with a chronic neuro-muscular affliction for the last twenty years which left her quite debilitated as well as COPD and Alzheimers. She was born in Wetaskiwin in 1943, and lived most of her life in the area.
Her first occupation was a bank teller in Wetaskiwin and she always proficient with numbers.
After she married, she and her husband, Mel, Lived in Ferintosh and operated a service station there and then in Bashaw. They always took off time in the winter to spend time in Mazatlan and then also had a winter home in Mesa, Arizona. Cathy was a fun loving person and a wonderful sister.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, Bill and Charlotte; her husband, Mel; and her youngest son, Colin.
She is survived by her son, Curtis; granddaughter, Lauryn; brother, Wilbert; sister, Arlene; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There is no service planned at this time. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
