Web Poll results: Bashaw readers split on how to take tax increase

Online poll shows some can live with, while others wanted to see it smaller

It was about as even of a result as one could get.

There were 12 responses to the Bashaw Star online poll that asked for people’s thoughts on the town’s three per cent property tax increase for 2018.

Those that stated they could live with it, but still don’t like it came out with five votes, the same amount — five — voted that the tax hike could have been lower.

Meanwhile, the other two votes were also split — one for the jump being right where it needs to be for the town and one that marked other.

This week’s web poll asks the question — Are current local mental health service levels adequate for the need?
