Virtual ceremony held Nov. 10

Lest we forget: Bashaw School held its Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 10. Although a traditional ceremony could not be held, students and staff still found a way to honour the significance of the day. Cohorts staggered throughout the morning to lay wreaths at the front entry and give a moment of silence. Sgt. Bruce Holliday stopped by dressed in serge to pay tribute from outside the building. At 11 a.m, the school’s intercoms filled with The Last Post and two minutes of silence was observed. A Grade 12 student then closed off the virtual ceremony with a reading of Flanders Field followed by O Canada. (Photos submitted)
