The 2018 season of Bashaw Minor Ball was wonderful.
We had 116 players registered with us, which meant we had a total of eight teams. We had three girls teams and four boys teams playing in community leagues and one young mixed (Learn-to-Play) team who had exhibition games with neighbouring communities.
A very successful skills clinic and two pitching clinics were hosted for the second year for older players and coaches.
The peewee boys team placed first in league play for their division and the mosquito boys’ team brought home the gold medal from their Tier II playoffs.
Other teams reported great seasons with lots learned and the players were great sports. Great coaches and great groups of kids.
There are members looking at some provincial play for next year, so Bashaw Minor Ball is looking forward to seeing players continue to build their ball skills and have fun playing an exciting game.
